Call to Interview Post Transplant Survival & Care

We would like to talk to people who are professional experts in this field. We have been drawing on literature to understand post-transplant survival and care and how this is planned for and managed in the UK today but are very aware that we need to go further and understand current issues.

We’d like to explore the following:

  • How do minimum standards meet the requirements for post-transplant patients, specifying the type of services, and how should they be redesigned?
  • What are the new methods for managing care in view of changes to the commissioning structure and advances in understanding of long term side-effects?
  • What is the impact of the new structure for public health and treatment and care services, and how do these support a strategy for bone marrow stem cell transplant care?
  • What are the barriers to providing late effects services and compliance to standards?
  • What role does extracorporeal photochemotherapy (ECP) for the treatment of Graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), and how it is commissioned?
  • How can we improve commissioning and service arrangements for patient’s post-100 days and patient support arrangements?

If this is your area of expertise, whether as clinician, commissioner, academic, patient or other please do get in touch with Sean Summers before the 22nd July 2013
