Project Roundtable: Survivorship and Care Post Bone Marrow Transplant

Jul 04. till Jul 04.

Invitation Only Event

Hosted by Mark Tami MP

Speaker: Professor Charles Craddock, Director of Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, Bone Marrow Transplant Centre

This round table contributed to our current research project looking at developing a strategy for survivorship and care post bone marrow transplant. Stem cell transplants in the UK have increased steadily in the past decade but the new commissioning arrangements do not specify fully how patients will be cared for post transplant. We will review post-transplant survival and care and how this is planned for and managed in the UK today.

This project also forms part of our 'Forgotten Condition' workstream.
