UK e-Health Week

On the 19th and 20th of April more than 3,000 health and care professionals and 80 IT suppliers, will descend upon London’s Olympia for the second ever UK e-Health Week.
The conference will be bigger and better than ever before with exciting new streams that will showcase the latest in e-Health innovations with those who commission and implement them. 
Featuring lively debates, practical solutions and best practice from the most senior technology healthcare decision makers and experts, UK e-Health Week is the only healthcare IT event supported by NHS England, BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT and HIMSS.

Julia Manning, Chief Executive will be chairing the session at 14.00 – 15.45 on Personal Health Records.

This session will examine the experience of developing and using Personal Health and Care Records, will assess the evidence of their impact on health and care delivery and their place and potential in supporting the delivery of national informatics policy, as outlined in the National Information Board’s ‘Personalised Health and Care 2020 – a framework for action’. This highly interactive session will provide perspectives from patients and service users, clinicians, CIOs and suppliers, as well as an opportunity to look at the findings of the Personal Health Record – Landscape Review commissioned by NHS England and conducted by the Royal College of Physicians.
