Aaron is an Associate Professor of Biosocial Anthropology at University College London, focusing on health and the human body across social relations and movements. He has conducted research in the UAE, Oman, the UK and the USA on modernity, urbanisation, men’s health and chronic illness.

Through his work within and beyond academia, Aaron has helped develop new frameworks to understand and combat increasing rates of chronic illness, Type 2 diabetes, obesity and heart disease. His current projects include fieldwork on aerospace medicine, life-science research and the human body aboard the International Space Station and within international space agencies and the aerospace industry.
